Sakhr Launches the Educational Portal in Oman

Sakhr Software is currently executing the largest e-government projects in Oman which is developing an educational portal for the ministry of education.

The first phase of the project, which started in 2006, has been applied on two educational zones covering 200 schools and 116 thousand students.

The project aims basically at offering the educational services to parents through the ministry's portal. These services include students' admission, registration, certification and many others.

The project includes, besides school management systems, two main elements: the e-learning and the Internet Portal System, which achieves the best communication between students, teachers, parents and educational zones.

Mr. Fahad Alsharek, Sakhr Software CEO, has said "it's our pleasure to develop this e-portal for the ministry of education in Oman".

He added"We will afford the techniques necessary for transforming the educational data into digital formats".

Sakhr team work has recently achieved all the development stages of this project in preparation for launching in the coming school year.
