Mr. Fahd Al Sharekh, the CEO of Sakhr Software Co., has congratulated both of Oman MOE and ITA for being awarded such an important international award for the “Educational Portal Project". He said, “Sakhr is proud to be a partner in the development of such a powerful educational system, that received this international recognition by the UN. The portal is an educational interface offering comprehensive servicesfor different educational sections; administrators, teachers, students, and parents. Moreover, itis a solution for school management and E-learning in a web environment that works in the schools, districts and national level; and communicates between the databases of the Ministry of Education and those dealing with it.In a nutshell, the Educational Portal provides transparency, accuracy, availability, speed and cost reduction to the Ministry.

The Ministry of Education gives priority and attention to using ICTs in education and we recognise that this is very important to supporting the development of Oman,” Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed bin Nassir Al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education, said. Winning this important award, she added, “proves the success of this portal. Looking forward, the ministry sees the education portal as a way that can enhance the education processes”.
